The Swamp's Hatchet Man

With Mitch McConnell deciding not to seek reelection it's no surprise that The Swamp™ is using him as the hatchet man. In general The Senate rarely has to fear primary elections (unfortunately), but they still like to spread the decent around. Can't vote with Democrats too much or The Right might actually vote them out. Mitch has no such fears anymore.
Mitch’s vote today—like so much of the last few years of his career—is one of the great acts of political pettiness I’ve ever seen. https://t.co/Qg6eAOqW4J

He can vote for Democrat for the next 2 years with next to zero repercussions. Tanking any critical vote he wants just to spite Trump. After 40+ years McConnell's legacy will be one of pettiness. A reminder for us what can happen if we don't take primary elections seriously. We are saddled with this millstone, along with several other "Republicans" for at least the next 2 years and potentially longer if we don't make our voices heard.
